Help & info.
Everything practical in one place. If it's not here, write to us — a person reads every message.
Shipping & duties
We ship worldwide from our fulfilment points in Lagos and Accra. Orders over $150 ship free; below that, a flat $12. Delivery runs 4–8 business days internationally, 1–3 within West Africa.
Prices on the site can be viewed in USD, EUR, GBP, NGN, or GHS using the selector in the header. Import duties, where they apply, are shown at checkout for supported destinations — no surprises at the door.
Returns
30 days, no drama. If a piece isn't right, send it back unwashed and we'll refund or exchange. Because every cloth is handmade, slight variations in pattern and tone aren't defects — they're provenance — but if you feel your piece doesn't match what was photographed, we'll always take it back.
Cloth care
Adire & indigo pieces: cold hand wash, separately for the first two washes — natural indigo releases excess dye at first, which is normal. Dry in shade; sunlight fades indigo over time.
Kente & aso oke: spot-clean or dry-clean only. Store folded along the strip seams, never hung — the weight stretches the weave.
Bogolan: shake out and air. Wash rarely, cold, by hand; the mud-dye patina deepens beautifully with age.
Gift cards
Digital gift cards from $50 to $500, delivered by email with a note from you. Redeemable on everything, including made-to-order bolts. Write to us at [email protected] and we'll arrange one the same day.
Trade & wholesale
We supply interior designers, retailers, and hospitality projects with made-to-order runs — same artisans, same traceability, trade pricing from 10 pieces. Lead times run 4–10 weeks depending on technique (bogolan takes longest; the mud won't be rushed). Email with "Trade" in the subject line.
Common questions
Are the patterns traditional or made for export? — Both exist honestly in our collection, and the label tells you which. Ceremonial patterns are only sold with the weaving family's consent.
Why do prices vary between restocks? — Artisans set their prices per batch. When cotton or silk costs rise, their prices rise, and so do ours.
Is the dye colorfast? — After the first two washes, yes, for normal use. See the care guide.
Can I request a specific weaver's work? — Yes. Mention the name from a previous label and we'll tell you what they currently have on the loom.
